the Hortus

. . . and here is the hortus (garden)where we grow ornamental, culinary as well as medicinal plants. Our chief gardener (he is an absolute gem! Tarquinius bought him in Alexandria as a present for me) and I have tried to compile this list of the plants we have or have heard of.
What do you think of the murals we had painted on the back walls of the garden? (botom)  We even have a summer triclinum (right) in the coolest corner, for when it is simply do hot to dine inside!
